Lost: Daniel Dae Kim...

Lost star Daniel Dae Kim has joined the cast of A&E’s highly anticipated four hour adaptation of Michael Crichton’s The Andromeda Strain. Kim will play the part of Tsi Chou, a North Korean biological weapons expert brought in to contain a deadly virus from outer space.

The novel centered on the efforts of an elite team whose purpose was to deal with just such an event. The model was echoed in Threshold, bringing an eclectic blend of scientists together. Not to be too spoilery, but by the end of the book the central laboratory’s defense systems became more dangerous that the disease itself, but we’ll save that for the movie.

If you can’t wait for Kim’s version of the movie, check out the perfectly awesome 1971 adaptation by Director Robert Wise. It rocks.

Lost: Lost revealed...

Carlton Cuse revealed: We aren't changing any of the format of the show. We are just adding the flash forwards as an element. They have made a radio call to a freighter, and there are people on that freighter, and it might be logical to imagine that that storyline will continue... The situation is going to be very intense this year. Charlie wrote on his hand not Penny's boat , and the message he wrote on his hand was very important. It was really funny because the clip at Comic-Con showed Mr. Friendly saying, 'by the time you see this, I'm gonna be dead, but I am telling you it's a shame because whoever is going to come after the Others is going to be a hell of a lot worse than we ever were.' Damon and I were listening to him and sort of nodding our head going, 'That's pretty prophetic.' With Jin and Sun there is a very dynamic situation at work. She's pregnant... the fate of her child, the fate of their marriage, all those questions Damon and I will get to and more this season. Walt will be back. You will see more of Jacob.

Lost: Latest on Lost...

Ruby in Antwerp, Belgium: Any scoop on Lost?

Executive producer Carlton Cuse and line producer Jean Higgins appeared at the LATV Festival last week, and E! Online spoke with them exclusively, getting answers to your questions. As for the for the future of the show in general, here's what Carlton had to say: "Some people speculated that [going forward] the show will be set in the future and then flashbacks to the present, but no, we aren't changing any of the format of the show. We are just adding the flash forwards as an element. They have made a radio call to a freighter, and there are people on that freighter, and it might be logical to imagine that that storyline will continue... The situation is going to be very intense this year. Charlie wrote on his hand not Penny's boat, and the message he wrote on his hand was very important. It was really funny because [ the clip at Comic-Con showed] Mr. Friendly saying, 'by the time you see this, I'm gonna be dead, but I am telling you it's a shame because whoever is going to come after the Others is going to be a hell of a lot worse than we ever were.' Damon and I were listening to him and sort of nodding our head going, 'That's pretty prophetic.' "

John in Spokane, Washington: There are rumors of a new Lost set being built along the lines of a temple or ruins. Have you heard anything?

According to Ms. Jean Higgins, "I don't expect any [permanent sets] for season four."

Ana in Denmark: What can we expect for Jin and Sun this season?

According to Carlton: "With Jin and Sun there is a very dynamic situation at work. She's pregnant...the fate of her child, the fate of their marriage, all those questions Damon and I will get to and more this season."

Pyotr in Moscow: Good news that Michael is returning to Lost, but what about Walt?

Again, Carlton Cuse, "Walt will be back also. But we're not going to get into any details about that."

Myrto in Athens: Hello from sunshine-filled Greece. Just one Lost question. Are we going to see Jacob again or learn anything about him in the fourth season?

According to Mr. Cuse himself, "Yes, you will see more of Jacob."

Francesca in Italy: Please, anything about Sawyer in Lost season four!

We asked Carlton if he had a favorite pairing in the triangle, and for what it's worth, he said, "I'm just a Sawyer fan..."

Lost: Comic Con 2007 summary...

Here is a summary of the Comic Con...

- Event starts off with a clip with Michael Emerson calling the Others a "Rebel Sect"
- Also on the clip show "By the time you see this I will be dead," says M.C. Gainey).
- Voice-over: "The survival of the Island is now at stake."
- Footage of the Lost game is shown (You can see this in the DarkUFO Home page)
- Carlton says Rachel probably won't be on the Island.
- Damon says the benefits of only doing 16 episodes (versus 22) a year is they can do more ancillary "awesome" stuff.
- Damon and Carlton say don't get too attached to Richard Alpert, because Nestor Carbonell's on CBS' Cane.
- They're writing episode one, but it's still untitled
Shooting starts in four weeks.

Q&A Section

Q) Wants to know about season three's violent turn and that the powers that be to promise that the Others aren't the good guys.
No promises are forthcoming.

Carlton says they wanted a showdown, and that involved a body count.
Damon says our guys are more violent but prettier. "When Sawyer is punching you in the face, you're like, More please, you're so attractive, can you take your shirt off please?" But when Friendly does it, it's relentless violence. Says Damon, "If the violence stays intense, it will at least be perpetrated by catastrophically good-looking people."

Q) Where's Michael?
They announce here that Harold is returning as Michael Dawson, but they tell the questioner they're not talking about how or when he returns.

Q) Re: Flashbacks
Carlton says flashbacks and flashforwards are both on the show going forward. "How far forward" and "with whom" are the Q's.

Q) Will Jack and Claire find out they are related?
Carlton rings the bell on Damon, but Damon nods furiously. The crowd goes wild.

Q) Did Ben get caught by Rousseau on purpose? Did Ben kill the real Henry Gale?
Damon says he will answer one of those questions. The asker chooses the capture question. Carlton: "He got caught by accident." Damon volunteers this, regarding Ben vs. Henry Gale: "They had words."

Flashbacks/Flashforwards
They were running out of plausible flashback material, so it was time to switch gears into flashfowards. The end date allowed them the certainty necessary to add that element into the show without further antagonizing fans. Carlton: "What you saw with Kate and Jack was not the end of the show." Damon: "The show has never really been about getting off the Island...There's this whole chapter of the story that takes place off the Island." Outstanding!

Michael
Carlton, regarding poor crazy Michael, "He took some extreme actions." Michael's story is about the power of the Island to be redemptive. And this won't be a quick pop by Redemption Island; Harold is a series regular. Michael returns early in the fourth season, or so says Damon.

Q) "What questions are fans not asking that we ought to be?"
Carlton: "Who's in the coffin?" and rings the bell on himself. D.L. and C.C. ask Harold, "Who do you think is in the coffin?" Harold thinks it's the person with the teenage son...probably Locke! Damon would ask, "Who's on that freighter out there, and what do they want out of the Island?" Carlton would ask, "Okay, Kate and Jack got off the Island? Did anybody else get off the Island?"

Q) Will we get back to Libby and was she part of Dharma
Carlton: "It is our intention to get to Libby's story this year, and we think you will be happy when we finish that." Damon: "You're not barking up the wrong tree."

Q_ Will there be a Danielle flashback soon?
Damon: "There are important things going on in that story, and they have to sync up." They'll do that syncing in this season or next.

Q) A fan named Aaron asks, "Can I call the monster Cerberus?"
Damon says...On the blast-door map, C.V. stood for Cerberus Vents. "That's Dharma's name for it, maybe. Cerberus is one of it's names." Damon: "Aaron, may I call you Cerberus?" Aaron-Cerberus: The monster seems kind of seems like it represents judgment. Why did Eko have to die? Damon: The whole deal with the monster will be definitely answered. Carlton: The monster answer is "not going to be 10 seconds of blank tape."

Dharma Film
The Comic-Con exclusive clip was "discovered" in "Narvik, Norway."

The promised clip is one of the station orientation films, hosted by Marvin Candle under an alias. The footage begins with him getting his makeup done and smoothing down his Dharma labcoat. Bunnies! It's about bunnies! Bunny #15, to be specific. Marvin, who calls himself Dr. Edgar Halifax in this film, identifies it as station six, the Orchid. He says the viewer has probably realized by now that he or she is not working at a mere botanical research unit. He apologizes for making him or her lie to friends and family members about the nature of the work. He mentions something that sounds like "Kasimir effect" and mentions the "unique properties of the Island." Then there's one of Jacob's subliminal messages. It may have been some variation on "as Jacob loves you." Then there's a bunny riot. One of the station's alarms blares, Dr. Halifax/Marvin panics. There's an intercut clip of someone riding a bicycle. The clip is inserted upside-down, and the rider appears to be in the village green of Otherville...And then, amid the chaos (perhaps this is the Incident?), the filmstrip slides off the reel.

Thanks to our live bloggers who wrote the following Wrap-Up post.

Wrap-up...

What a great time! Other than the waiting part, that was an hour of bliss, especially the last 2 minutes. I want to quickly give you a condensed recap of what happened - thanks to all the bloggers who did a fantastic job recording the events ! There may be a few mistakes, but generally I think this is a picture of what happened.

DVD Season 3 Preview
Before the producers even came out, they showed a clip of what appears to be a section on the "Special Features" disc of the DVD coming out in December. It was called "The Life of the Others". Or something like that. The basically had interviews with Tom, Ben, and showed the filming of the action scene where the dynamite in the tent blow some of the Others away (from the S3 finale). HIGHLIGHT: Tom at one point looks to the camera and says "By the time you see this, I will be dead.". Everyone loved that. Otherwise it was good, nothing earth-shattering.

Intro
Damon an Carlton came out to a thunderous applause. It quickly turned into a "WTF" scenario though, when they sat down to find that neither of their mics worked. They actually stood up and were prepared to do the whole thing from the podium where the moderator was standing. The moderator said "I think we have a video game clip we could show...?" They agreed and sat down, hoping that would buy them enough time to fix the technical difficulty.

Video Game Preview
The clip was only about a minute long, but I can say that the graphics seemed pretty great. Now, I'm not a hardcore gamer by any means, so others may disagree, but my expectations of this game were pretty low, and the clip showed me some serious potential. They showed Jack running through the forest, Locke at the computer, and I remember seeing a red wire leading to a shack?? The game is to be released in February (right on time for the Season 4 premier, I'm guessing).

After the clip, Damon figured out that 2 other mics seemed to work, so they got situated. Damon was a crackup as usual, and told an interesting story. Ubisoft, the creators of the game, is a French-Canadian company. At the time Damon and Carlton saw the first demo of the game, the voiceovers hadn't been recorded. Instead, they had Ubisoft workers as the voices of the characters. Damon mimicked "Hyou need to see Zawyer, hee hahs zee mahp". Everyone laughed. Other than that, I don't remember much being said about the game. Damon also pointed out that he and Carlton both had little hotel-wait bells (?). He said that they tend to get excited and blurt out more info than they should, so as a precaution, the other producer would ding the bell if they were about to go too far. This comes into play later, although it was funny to watch them immediately place their hands over the bell during every single question. This led into the Fan Q&A session.

Fan Q&A
Thank goodness for the other live bloggers, they really did a good job posting the questions, because I wasn't quick enough to jot them down.

- The first question asked had to do with the seemingly elevated level of violence in this season, and concluded that this was because of the Others. Damon was quick to point out that there was a LOT of violence in the first 2 seasons, but it's probably dulled when the people doing the violent deeds are gorgeous. Says Damn, "Go on Sawyer, keep beating the hell out of me. And if you want to take your shirt off while you beat me, that'd be ok to." Everyones on the floor laughing.

- Someone asked about Michael, which was clearly a softball pitch because we all already knew he was coming back yesterday. D&C said they had planned to release the info at the ComiCon, but they all got mixed up on timing...blah blah blah, more on that later.

- Will there be flashforwards next season? There will be both flashbacks and flashforwards next season. Damon mentioned that they simply couldn't keep digging up history on the characters without making it a stretch. He used the example of "If Jin had an ex-wife, that would be lame because he's never mentioned it."

- Will Jack and Claire find out about their relation? Damon said in so many words that they want to get to that. Carlton dings the bell, at which point Damon stops talking and makes huge nodding movements. So I think we can expect that in S4.

- There was a question about DHARMA. Carlton mentions that we'll learn more about DHARMA "sooner than you can possibly imagine...as in 5:58pm". Woot!

- Did Benry purposefully get caught or was that a legitimate accident? It was an accident.

- A boisterous girl (that might have been a plant) insists that we know more about Michael and his whereabouts. As D&C try to formulate an answer, a bell rings offstage. People look around, and Harold Perrineau comes onto the stage. Crowd goes wild. He hugs the producers and says to the audience "Man I missed you guys!"

- A guy mentions how awesome Richard Alpert is and asks if he'll be back. D&C discuss that he's been hired onto a CBS show so they don't know what they can do but wait.

- A great question by a girl: what questions SHOULD we be asking that we haven't. Crowd simultaneously give a "oooooooooo" watching D&C squirm in their seats. "Who is in the coffin, who is on the "not-penny" boat, who are Adam and Eve, and if Nicki and Paulo are really dead."

- Will Libby return? They hope they have the opportunity to tell her story - and there is definitely a story to tell.

At that point, they say their goodbyes and thanks the ComiCon crowd profusely. Damon says that LOST was essentially "born from the Con", having aired there before even making it to the TV. They set the stage for the clip they are about to show. It was found in Norway and sent to them. Then they exit stage left and the film rolls.

Orientation Film - Station 6
The film starts with Dr. Marvin Candle introducing himself as "Edward Hourwicks" (or something close to that). He's speaking to the cameraman as if they haven't started rolling film, "I'm a scientist, not an actor". They give him a huge white rabbit with the number 15 on it's back. He then goes into his schpeel "Welcome to Station 6, the Orchid". He was wearing a labcoat, but I couldn't see the DHARMA symbol. He apologizes for having lied to them and their families, but the station is NOT botanical in nature. "As you know, there are unique properties about the Island..." then things start falling, the camera starts shaking, and they pan to another rabbit hanging out by itself on a shelf...? They cut, everything is normal and they're back to the "Welcome to Station 6" part again. In what is sure to be a "TiVo moment", there are what I think is 2 instances where there are flashes of words spliced into the film. One I think said "Jacob loves you". I don't know about the other one.

That's it! Damon and Carlton were hilarious and class-acts, as always.

Heroes: Latest from Kristin...

1. The powers of new Heroes Maya (Dania Ramirez) and Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) are connected. Dania told us this about her brother, "We need each other." We also hear that despite reports the fraternal twins are from the Dominican Republic, they're actually from Central America and will either be leaving from or at least passing through San Cristobal, Honduras.

2. There will be an upcoming storyline set in County Cork, Ireland. Separately, look for a dangerous new Francophone character named Sophie. She's the employee of a powerful, mysterious group, and she's "not afraid to use lethal force to accomplish her mission."

3. Pilar in Montreal: Do you know anything more about David Anders' role on Heroes?
We asked Masi Oka, "Riddle me this. White guy from Oregon. How is [David Anders] a samurai-type in feudal Japan?" He answered, "You will find out in the first episode. And it's an answer that everyone will be happy about. Does he have any powers? Does he share any powers? We don't know. Is he white? Yes." Masi wins at life. By the way, for more on this Kensei fellow, check out Yamagatofellowship.org.

Meg in Juneau, Alaska: How is Sylar going to fit into Heroes this season?
We talked to Greg Grunberg recently, and he had this to say: "We're still playing with some of the stuff from last year, but they've definitely introduced a new character, which I hope I have a big part in, that they alluded to last year. Remember, Molly said last year, 'Every time I think about him, he can see me; he's the bogeyman.' There's this character that is looming out there that's bigger and badder than Sylar, so it's going to be pretty crazy." I ran that by Sylar himself, Mr. Zachary Quinto, and he said, "There's definitely a dark new energy on the show, and it'll be interesting to see how Sylar fits into that."

Sharon in Peru, Maine: Do you know what's going on with the Petrelli brothers in season two? I want my Petrelli action.
So do we, so we asked Adrian Pasdar what was going on between Nathan and Peter, and we were sad when he told us, "Milo and I have not worked together in a long time..." Speaking of time, Jack Coleman tells us of the season premiere, "It's not a direct cut in time. We're four months in the future, and Hiro is 400 years in the past, but those timelines collide in a very dramatic way."

Alan in Pittsburgh: What's happening with my boy H.R.G. on season two of Heroes?
According to Jack Coleman, he's moved the family to somewhere in Southern California. He says, "Los Angeles would not be accurate, but not far off." He added, "Everyone survives, but the Bennets are a very dislocated but determined group that tries to make the best of it, but old ways and old ghosts quickly come into play very dramatically."

Prison Break: Nick Santora update...

This update is taken from Nick Santora's Myspace...

Episode 1

This past week, the Prison Break writers/producers were able to see the first cut of the Teaser and Act One of Episode 1 of Season 3. Without giving anything away … it was intense! Our post department, as always, puts together a great visual with the dalies they get and Kevin Hooks, as usual, has directed a wonderful episode. The shots look great, the actors are so on their game, the entire production team in Dallas is doing amazing work … it’s just great, great stuff. Less than 2 months until we air, and I can’t wait. I’m going to Dallas next week for production of episode 4 - I’ll post on my blog when I come back, let you know how it all went. Best, Nick.

[and p.s. - if you get a chance, check out http://www.bordersmedia.com/shows/live01/santora.asp - it is a 20 minute or so shoot I did with Borders in which I discuss Prison Break, my book “Slip & Fall”, working in Hollywood, how I made the transition from law to writing, etc. You might find it interesting. If not, sorry! :) ]

Prison Break: Dominic and Wentworth thoughts on Season 3

Here's a new interview of Wentworth and Dominic aka Micheal and Lincoln and their thoughts on Season 3...

“I figure the show’s called Prison Break. Chances are there’s going to be another break,” Miller says. “These things have a way of coming full circle. People, at the end of the day, love prisons. It’s what made us a success to begin with. So it’s kind of a return to form.”

Michael’s brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), now is on the outside looking in. That’s a role reversal from Season 1, when Michael willfully became a prison inmate in order to engineer the escape of his incarcerated but otherwise protective older sibling. His roadmap was a full-body tattoo with a hidden road to freedom.

“Michael has no big brother to keep him safe this time, no tattoo to refer to,” Miller says. “He’s very much chum in the water . . . His hands are dirty at this point. A lot of lives have been damaged and even lost so that his brother could go free. Maybe there is a part of Michael that thinks being in prison is where he should be. That’s the only way to atone for his sins.”

Miller said he’s acclimated himself to life in Dallas, where he’s still living “not too far” from Southern Methodist University.

“Absolutely. There’s still a lot to explore,” he says. “I try to go out to these little towns on weekends and see what there is to see. It occurred to me on my summer break in L.A. that I don’t live in L.A. anymore. I actually live in Texas for 10 months out of 12. So the reality is that Dallas is my home for the time being.”

Purcell is of a different mind. For him, Dallas isn’t so hot, even when it’s not so hot.

Asked if he’s enjoying the city, he says, “No, of course not. I’m away from home. But that’s part of the deal. I get to play, I love what I do and I get good money. I’m not gonna sit here and whine and bitch about how bad my life is because I’m in Dallas. It’s hard being away from my kids and the surf and water and stuff. But it is what it is.”

Season 3 of Prison Break will be “by far” better than the first two, Purcell says.

“Everyone was concerned whether or not we could maintain the fun of it, the creativity and the dimension. Quite frankly, I thought the second season kind of dragged in the ass a bit in the middle and towards the end. This year it’s going to be hard not to be entertained.”

Purcell’s Lincoln Burrows now is intent on freeing his younger brother from a prison full of “psycopaths and nut cases.”

They include three Prison Break regulars — FBI agent Alexander Mahone (William Fichtner), former penitentiary guard Brad Bellick (Wade Williams) and super-sadistic Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell (Robert Knepper).

“Mahone’s losing his mind because he doesn’t have his pills, Bellick’s walking around in a diaper and T-Bag is just the personification of evil,” Purcell says.

Lincoln supposedly will be less stoic and monotonic this season this season.

“It’s going to be a different Lincoln,” says Purcell. “He’s a free man but he’s still got to get his brother out. We’re going to see a lot more of his street smarts this year. He’ll be a more charismatic kind of guy.”

Prison Break: Rockmond plans to shoot next film in Chicago...

Actor Rockmond Dunbar, known for his role on FOX's Prison Break, enjoys being in Chicago so much that he is planning on bringing his next film project in the Illinois city next year.

The film, Black Flag, is an action comedy about an African-American NASCAR driver. The 39-year-old actor wants to film the racing scenes at Joliet's Chicagoland Speedway, which hosts such races as the NASCAR/ Nextel Cup Series, USG Sheetrock 400, NASCAR/ Busch Series and USG Durock 300 once a year. Joliet is also the home of Joliet Prison, where majority of Prison Break's debut season was filmed.

Unfortunately for Dunbar, production was relocated to Dallas, Texas for the show's second season.

"I tried to get Prison Break to stay," Rockmond Dunbar told Armour & Co. before throwing out the first pitch at a Cubs game two weeks ago. "I talked to the aldermen [in Chicago] and tried to get even more of a tax break [for filming]."

For the show's first two seasons, Dunbar played Benjamin Miles “C-Note” Franklin, a U.S. Army First Sergeant who was dishonorably discharged after he refused to keep quiet about the illegal torture of several detainees. Unable to find a suitable job to support his family, C-Note resorted to earning money through criminal means. He was eventually arrested and incarcerated at Fox River State Penitentiary.

Rockmond Dunbar's character was among the eight who escaped from the penitentiary with mastermind Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller). Towards the end of the second season, C-Note and his family were placed under the Witness Protection Program after he agreed to testify against Agent Alexander Mahone (William Fichtner). It is not yet known whether or not Dunbar will reprise his role on the third season of Prison Break, which is scheduled to begin airing this fall.

Aside from wanting to shoot his next film in Chicago, Dunbar is also having a place built in Bronzeville, a neighborhood situated in the Douglas and Grand Boulevard community areas on the southern part of Chicago. Dunbar told the Chicago Tribune that the new house will serve as his summer home.

"I have to be very clear and very honest," Rockmond Dunbar said. "The summers here are incredible; spring and fall are great. But when you get to the winter, I won't be here. I'm still keeping my house in L.A."

Heroes: Cast in Toronto, Canada...

Stars from the hit drama Heroes will be in Toronto next month to mark the release of the Season One DVD and to generate some buzz for the fall debut of the sophomore season.

Global, which broadcasts the NBC hit in Canada, announced Tuesday that several cast members will meet fans on Aug. 31 in Yonge-Dundas Square. It’s part of a whirlwind tour that will stop in eight cities around the world.

"We are thrilled to be embarking on this exciting venture," said Heroes creator and executive producer Tim Kring, in a release. “The theme of Heroes has been about people from all over the planet coming together to do great things. About making the world a smaller, more inter-connected place. This tour is the embodiment of those ideals.”

The series, one of only a handful of hit new dramas last season, follows ordinary people who discover they have extraordinary abilities. The list of cast members coming to Toronto hasn’t been announced but Adrian Pasdar, Milo Ventimiglia, Hayden Panettiere, Masi Oka, Ali Larter, Greg Grunberg and six others are participating in the tour.

The Heroes World Tour, presented by Nissan, kicks off Aug. 27 in Munich and Tokyo with stops in New York, Hong Kong, London, Paris, Singapore and Tokyo.

CSI: Littman talks on "CSI", "MIAMI" and "NEW YORK"...

After seven years of increasing tension between Grissom and Sara, it looks like fans will finally be able to expect some kind of resolution when CSI returns in the Fall.

"The Sara-Grissom storyline is going to conclude," CSI executive producer Jonathan Littman told the Orlando Sentinel at a party CBS threw during the recent Television Critics Association press tour. "Don't take it in that definitive term. It's very smartly done."

When asked to expand, Littman said the show's writers were planning a "big storyline finish" for Sara and Grissom. "It will play out for a few episodes. [...] The ambition of their stories is once again extremely high and extremely quirky. That arc worked so well with Grissom and Sara, that we are going to let these characters breathe this year. Everyone has their moments. The characters are going to have their journeys."

As the head of Jerry Bruckheimer's television division, Littman is involved with all three CSI shows. For the other two shows, he only provided two brief tidbits: he said that Ryan Wolfe will remain fired at the start of Miami's new season, and revealed that on New York, Mac Taylor will be harassed, without being able to find out who's behind it. Finally, Littman again confirmed there won't be another CSI spin-off. "I think everyone feels three is a good, round number. Law & Order went to four, and it didn't work. I think we're all very content with three CSIs."

Dr. Who: Tony Blair to be Cameo?...

Recently departed Prime Minister Tony Blair is reportedly being considered for an appearance on Doctor Who.

A report in The Daily Express cited an insider on the hit show as stating: "Everyone knows Blair did The Simpsons and has appeared with Catherine Tate, who is the new companion for The Doctor. So we're sure he'd be more than open to the offer of a cameo on the show."

If Blair was to appear on Doctor Who he would be following in the footsteps of prominent politician Ann Widdecombe, who appeared in 'The Last of the Time Lords' recently. In the episode, the season three finale, she appeared as herself voicing support for the fictional character of Harold Saxon, a political figure concocted by The Doctor's arch nemesis The Master.

Heroes: More Paintings...

Tim Sale, who creates the art pieces for fictional painter Isaac Mendez on NBC's Heroes, told SCI FI Wire that Isaac is dead on the show, but that Sale will continue to produce pieces-possibly on behalf of a character who appeared to have died. "If only there had been someone else in season one that did some art work," Sale hinted in an interview at Comic-Con International in San Diego, Calif. "Somebody who absorbs powers, maybe." Although Sylar absorbed Isaac's power, he is not the only character with that ability. "Actually there were two people," Sale said. "There was the bad guy who had a very different style, and we didn't see much of the other's art work. But all I know is they tell me I have a job."

Grey's Anatomy: Episode 3- "Let the Truth Sting" details...

Episode 3 will be called "Let The Truth Sting" and will feature some guest/new characters called Elaine, Henry, Joanne and Marcy.

Elaine, Connie, and Joanne (3 friends in their 50’s) - Note: The casting sides were only for Connie and Joanne, so either Elaine is someone already on canvas or she’s a “very special guest star.”:

The three women are obviously very close. Dr. Lawson enters with his interns, and Elaine tells Connie this is why SHE should get sick also, they are all so handsome. Dr. Smith enters and Connie calls him the most handsome of all, and it is clear that they know one another. Connie tells them all that Dr, Smith removed her appendix and it BARELY left a scar. She has told her friends all about him, and she says she gets nervous around the good-looking ones. Connie has cancer in her vocal chords, and they will have to do surgery on her to remove them. Connie is afraid that this may be her last chance to talk and she has so much that she has to say. With her friends’ encouragement she does speak - and insults Joanne (tells her that her pants make her look fat) and Elaine (her breath is terrible). Later, the friends return to find that Connie’s surgery went well and she will talk again, but for now she has to rest her vocal chords (Dr. Brown is with her). Elaine and Joanne come in with balloons and tell her that since she can’t talk it THEIR turn - and they begin by telling her that she has horrible taste is men. The three woman bond as Dr. Brown leaves.

Marcy and Henry

Henry is a sullen 15 year-old, and his sudden change in behavior is alarming to his mother, Marcy, who has brought him in for drug tests and a complete blood work up. Dr. Keller is the doctor on the case. When the blood tests come back clean, Marcy is still concerned and Dr. Keller tells her that he’s just a teenager, when Henry starts spouting nonsense. Dr. Keller orders some neurological tests. Later, Dr, Keller is paged back to the clinic to find that Henry had another spouting nonsense spell and has collapsed. An exam shows that he has herniated and pressure in his brain. Dr. Keller orders Dr. Smith paged.

Grey's Anatomy: Press Release...

PRODUCTION BEGINS IN LOS ANGELES ON NEW ABC DRAMA SERIES "PRIVATE PRACTICE," FROM SHONDA RHIMES, CREATOR OF "GREY'S ANATOMY"

Production has begun in Los Angeles on "Private Practice," a new drama from the creator of "Grey's Anatomy," Shonda Rhimes, featuring an all-star cast that includes Kate Walsh, Tim Daly, Taye Diggs, Amy Brenneman and Audra McDonald. The series will air Wednesdays (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) this fall on the ABC Television Network.

From Shonda Rhimes, the Golden Globe-winning creator of "Grey's Anatomy," comes a story about finding a way to begin the rest of your life. Addison Forbes Montgomery is a renowned surgeon. Having left behind Seattle Grace Hospital, a broken marriage with Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd and her torn relationship with Mark "McSteamy" Sloan, Addison moves to Los Angeles for sunnier weather and happier possibilities.

Addison reunites with her friends from medical school, Naomi and Sam Bennett, joining them at their chic, co-op, Oceanside Wellness Center in Santa Monica. Naomi, a fertility and hormone specialist and majority owner of the clinic, and Sam, an internist whose self-help books have made him the "common man's medical guru," are newly divorced. They co-exist for the sake of their teenaged daughter, Maya, and their medical practice, but the relationship is hardly amicable.

The center's resident pediatrician is Dr. Cooper Freedman, whose success in his profession belies his rocky personal life. He's a serial internet dater who is always attracted to the wrong woman. Most dates end badly for him; some even end in petty or grand theft.

Cooper finds solace and counsel in his closest friend, co-op psychiatrist Dr. Violet Turner but she's no luckier in love. Able to deftly advise her patients in their relationships, she's intense, determined, and unwilling to let outsiders see the obvious cracks in her veneer. Inside, Violet is crumbling after her recent breakup with an ex who has already moved on and married.

Dr. Pete Wilder is the alternative medicine specialist at the practice. Attractive and assured, Pete is a "catch" by any standard; in fact, he's already caught Addison's eye, and he, hers. Though the chemistry is immediate and palpable between the two, Pete's cockiness and confidence conceal a man still reeling from his wife's tragic passing eight years beforehand, a man who has been unable to truly connect with a woman since. With Addison starting anew in Los Angeles, Pete may chance new beginnings in his own life.

Witness to it all at the co-op is the receptionist, William Dell Parker. Young, quirky and confident, Dell may seem like an easygoing surfer, but he's deeply interested in the medical profession. In Addison he sees the chance to have a mentor and pursue his dream -- becoming a midwife.

Coming in direct conflict with the co-op doctors is Charlotte King, the Chief of Staff of the nearby hospital. A southerner who does not suffer fools gladly, Charlotte believes that the co-op doctors' patient care methods are unorthodox and, therefore, inferior to her own.

For Addison, an old friend's invitation brings her to a new city and a new life full of promise. At Oceanside Wellness Center, the doctors are dedicated pros; it's their private lives that need a little practice.

"Private Practice" stars Kate Walsh as Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery, Tim Daly as Dr. Pete Wilder, Audra McDonald as Dr. Naomi Bennett, Paul Adelstein as Dr. Cooper Freedman, KaDee Strickland as Dr. Charlotte King, Chris Lowell as William Dell Parker, with Taye Diggs as Dr. Sam Bennett and Amy Brenneman as Dr. Violet Turner.

"Private Practice" was created and is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes ("Grey's Anatomy," "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge"). Betsy Beers ("Grey's Anatomy," "Casanova"), Marti Noxon ("Grey's Anatomy," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), Mark Gordon ("The Hoax," "Saving Private Ryan") and Mark Tinker ("St. Elsewhere," "NYPD Blue") are executive producers. "Private Practice" is an ABC Studios Production.

Grey's Anatomy: 4.01 "A Change is Gonna Come" spoiler...

Episode 4.01: A Change Is Gonna Come

Airdate: September 2007

Two new interns will be introduced in the season premiere (three if you include Lexie). And they'll have their hands full when a three-car accident sends multiple casualties pouring into Seattle Grace.

Expect changes to occur in the season premiere as the title is "A Change Is Gonna Come." The premiere will see new interns enter the medical world. One, who is supposed to be named Thomson, helps deliver a baby on the interns' first day on the job. Grey's Anatomy episodes would not be the same without a wacky case. In this episode, the wacky case is that of a young boy bringing his bleeding female raccoon pet to the hospital in the hope a doctor will save her.

Clara, who is with her two young children, discuss the status of her husband Henry with one of the doctors. Henry has suffered extremely traumatic injuries during a car accident. The doctor says that the only thing holding Henry's head to his body is skin and muscle and that he will surely died very soon, even with surgery. A boy brings a near-dead racoon to Seattle Grace in the hope they will be able to save it. His father wants his son to grow up and stop living in a make-believe world. Some of the doctors need to deal with new stressed out interns. One of the interns will help deliver a baby.

General Spoilers:

Grey's Anatomy has promoted Chyler Leigh (aka Mer's McDreaming half-sis Lexie) to a series regular, an ABC Studios rep confirms.

I'm hearing [that George and Callie's relationship] is proving quite a difficult puzzle for Shonda Rhimes, who is fully aware of the fan backlash over last season's George and Izzie hookup and has been doing quite a few rewrites.

Executives tied to the show say the fourth-season plan is to add several cast members, including at least one fresh-faced new intern: Meredith Grey's half-sister Lexi (Chyler Leigh) will become a frequent presence with a multi-episode story arc. They are also seeking a new recurring male character to compete with Patrick Dempsey's Dr. McDreamy.

House: FOX Press tour...

HOUSE PANEL
4:02 pm: Scoop! Jesse Spencer, Omar Epps and Jennifer Morrison will all be back next season. I know this because all three of them are on the panel. I also know this because exec producer Kate Jacobs just said, "They'll all be back."

4:08 pm: That said, Jacobs reveals that when the season starts "House is alone. And House is trying to solve cases by himself. Cuddy insists that he hire a new time. Over the first bunch of episodes, he's going to call in [40 or so candidates] and see who survives. It will be like Survivor." (Click here to find out who survives.)

4:10 pm: On his Emmy nod, Hugh Laurie says he was asleep when the noms were announced last Thursday. "It's a very thrilling way of waking up... It was a happy day."

4:12 pm: Jennifer Morrison is sportin' some serious blonde highlights.

4:14 pm: Scoop! Chase is working in Arizona when the season starts. And Cameron's there visiting him. Foreman, meanwhile, is heading up his own diagnostic team at another hospital.

4:16 pm: Not sure if she was joking, but Jacobs just said she's giving Cuddy "a huge makeout scene" this season. Let the speculation begin!

4:20 pm: Big news! It's time to hand out our third Whatchoo Talkin' 'Bout Willis Award of the tour. The trophy goes to the reporter who just asked the entire cast how they enjoy shooting on the 20th Century Fox lot as opposed to, say, the Universal lot. Specifically, the reporter wants to know if they have convenient parking spaces. Congratulations to today's winner!

4:28 pm: Jesse Spencer is jazzed about the changes in store for Chase this season. "We're not going back in the same capacity. Nothing will be the same [and] that's going to change the energy. It's kind of like we've got a new show."

4:29 pm: Laurie describes the first three House scripts this season as "phenomenal" -- three of the best scripts he's ever read.

4:30 pm: Jacobs says they have actually hired five new docs. "We have deals with five actors that could potentially turn into series-regular deals."

4:31 pm: House won't refer to his new minions by name, but by number. Hey, Gilmore Girls already did that. In Season 6, Paris assigned numbers to all the staffers at the Yale Daily News. AS-P, call your lawyers!

4:38 pm: House's post-Super Bowl episode will be the first of a two-parter. "It's a lot of pressure," Jacobs says of the high-profile slot. "I don't think we'll do anything too gimmicky."

4:41 pm: Emma Thompson is a fan of the show and has expressed interest in guest-starring.

4:47 pm: Gaggle stampede! Robert Sean Leonard is running for his life!

Desperate Housewives: Fillion moves in Mike's House...

[Nathan] Fillion, who joins the cast as a dashing young gynecologist, will be moving into Mike's house with Dana Delany, who plays his wife, and according to James Denton, there is something dark and twisty about the new neighbors. "Something really dark happened in that house and that's why they have to move back. We don't know what it is, but I can't wait to find out." For Denton, the first episodes of the new season will show Mike moving in with Susan and Julie and dealing with the challenges of parenting a teenager. "I try to be involved and Julie of course is like, 'Who do you think you are? My mom and I are best friends.' There is a lot of comedy that can be mined from it."

Kevin Smith will write and direct an episode of Heroes: Origins, the six-episode anthology spinning off from the hit NBC series.

That was the biggest announcement at the San Diego Comic-Con International’s massive panel promoting the second season or “Volume 2” on Saturday, where the entire cast showing up to pay tribute to the fans.

The session, which was moderated by writer and co-executive producer Jeph Loeb, featured clips from the upcoming season, cast members bravely struggling against a malfunctioning sound system, and even a cameo by Danny Bonaduce.

Cast members in attendance included: Jack Coleman (H.R.G./Mr. Bennett), wearing an “I’m just a paper salesman” shirt); Noah Gray-Cabey (Micah); Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman), who wore a a “Milo is my Hero” shirt; Ali Larter (Niki/Jessica); James Kyson Lee (Ando); Masi Oka (Hiro), who had a “Hayden is my Hero” shirt from last year, Hayden Panettiere (Claire); Adrian Pasdar (Nathan); Zachary Quinto (Sylar), who was just announced as young Spock in the new Star Trek film; Sendhil Ramamurthy (Mohinder Suresh), and Milo Ventimiglia (Peter).

Loeb introduced “surprise guest” Dania Ramieriez, who will play a Spanish-speaking character from the Dominican Republic named Maya in the new season.

Series creator Tim Kring and artist Tim Sale, who does the paintings for the show, were also in attendance. Kring credited the fans’ strong reaction to the pilot screened at last year’s SDCC as a major factor in the Heroes becoming a breakout hit.

“We came here with really nothing to show except this 72-minute pilot we had, and not much else,” Kring said. “We didn’t have any fans, we didn’t have any critical acclaim….you did exactly what we asked you, which was go out and spread the word.”

The fans were praised often throughout the panel. Kring said that the entire cast’s appearance was a way to “thank everybody from the bottom of our hearts.”

After announcing the winners of nbc.com’s graphic novel and music video contests and mentioning a forthcoming Heroes video game from UBSoft, Loeb then began the Q&A session of the panel.

Highlights:

• After a fan told Greg Grunburg that “me and my wife love your character,” Grunberg replied, “Yes, I swing.” When the fan gave Grunberg a gift from his wife, Grunburg (in a repeat of Ventimigila’s gesture from last year’s panel), literally gave the fan the shirt off his back….though he had another one on underneath.

• Kring explained to a fan that the repeated use of cockroaches in the background was meant to be symbolic of the evolutionary themes of the show.

• When the cast was asked about their fondest memories of the first season, Ramamurthy quipped that, “My fondest memory is just being alive at the end of it.” Pasdar quipped that he thought they were signing up for a show called Heroes, but they wound up on Survivor.

• Jack Coleman’s favorite moment was “episode 11, when I went from guest star to series regular.” Loeb again credited the fans for this, saying, “You told us you wanted more, H.R.G, you got more H.R.G.”

• Kring’s favorite moment was the first time the pilot screened at SDCC last year, which was the first time he had seen a cut of the pilot in anything other than an editing bay. “I actually stood in the corner watching the audience watch the show, and got to see everybody’s reaction to it, and that was the fondest moment for me,” Kring said.

• Loeb gave credit to the show’s writing and directorial staff, who were also in attendance. They received a standing ovation from the crowd, and were further given credit by Kring. Loeb then showed Alex Ross and Jim Lee’s covers to the forthcoming Heroes graphic novel collections from DC/Wildstorm.

• The sound system during the panel constantly malfunctioned, including giving off loud, continuous feedback. Masi Oka actually snuck under the table to check on the sound system. “You see, they’re not just heroes on television,” Loeb quipped. The system was later fixed, to loud applause from the audience.

• While the cast was discussing what they liked best about working on the show, Grunberg commented, “Can I just say, being this close to Sendhil – he’s gorgeous!” Ramamurthy, who had been the subject of many adoring catcalls throughout the panel, took the opportunity to plant a big kiss on Grunberg. Noah Gay-Cabey subsequently commented that it was pretty cool “to get to hang out with these weirdos.”continued...

• Origins was then discussed. It will use separate writers and directors from the regular show, to avoid further taxing the existing staff. Smith was introduced, to the surprise and delight of the cast.

• Smith said he was contacted by Kring, and joked that he told him, “I would love to write and direct an episode about the two gay heroes…you know, the Japanese dudes. They’re gay, right?!” He later commented, “If you can do autopsy on a cheerleader, you can show a couple of heroes making out.”

• Smith said that he felt doing the episode was going to be “a lot of fun,” but that he didn’t want to be “the guy who ruined Heroes,” and joked about not wanting to see negative Internet comments after the show aired. He praised the show for “mastering the art of the cliffhanger,” and that he and his wife had watched the episodes in a marathon after downloading them from iTunes.

• Loeb said that Origins would run at the end of April as six consecutive episodes. It was clarified that the show was a stand-alone anthology series in the Heroes universe, and was not a way of mining new characters for the main show.

• What would the cast like to see the characters do with their powers in future episodes? Ventimiglia quipped, “I’ll tell you – I’d like to live.” Panettiere said that, “instead of someone killing me, I’d like to kill someone else.”

• Grunburg told Kring, “I’ve got J.J. (Abrams’) phone number for Origins if you need it.”

• What do actors bring from personal lives that they put into the show? Coleman: “Besides the impaired vision? Just being a father of a young daughter.” Oka offered a long answer in Japanese, which Pasdar mock-translated as, “Masi Oka likes to go commando.”

• Kring discussed the combination of fantasy and reality in the show: “We try to create a world that was grounded in reality as much as possible….even the superpowers aspect of the show is grounded in evolutionary theory. People need to be able to relate to the show as though this could actually happen.”

• Actor/reality TV…personality Danny Bonaduce showed up to ask if the actors “live and die by each script,” wondering if their characters will make it through the week. Larter said that, “It keeps you on your toes,” and Loeb explained that this unknown element was to help bring an element of realism to the actors’ performances. Bonaduce thanked the cast, and warned them that when a hit show gets canceled, “the rest of your life kind of sucks for a while.”

• When asked to compare and contrast Nathan Petrelli with Jim Profit, the character he played on the short-lived cult classic Profit, Pasdar said that “one was dependable, had a moral code…the other’s a politician.”

• Masi Oka reacted to a question about Hiro and Ando being the “least traditionally masculine” of characters with a mock-dirty look, leading Larter to chime in that “I think Masi is DAMN sexy.”

• Kring said that there was no definite “final moment” planned, which led a mock-relieved Loeb to quip, “We don’t have to get off the island?”

• The idea, according to Kring is to reinvent the show each season. Volume 2 might not be an entire season long.

• Asked if the cast would ever feature “any strong female characters who aren’t cheerleaders or strippers,” Loeb replied, “absolutely” He mentioned another new character, Monica, from the flood-ravaged area of New Orleans. Kring pointed out cheerleading and stripping was where the characters started, but the show was about defying expectations, as the characters found “the hero within them” during the arc of the show.

• An Australian fan queried Panettiere about the much-discussed Peter/Claire chemistry. Ventimiglia: “They…are…related. End of story. I’m flattered, but…” Panettiere pointed out the age difference between her and Ventimiglia, and asked, “Which is creepier, the fact that he’s my uncle, or the fact that there’s….” Ventimiglia replied, “Uncle. Uncle.” He then pointed out that the characters had “hooked up” on the level that they had an emotional, caring, protective relationship, along with a strong bond.

• Both Zachary Quinto and Sendhil Ramamurthy were up for roles were older actors were originally considered. Quinto recalled auditioning in a room where the other actors included men in their 50s and 60s, along with some of his contemporaries. Quinto: “They cast a wide net, but I’m glad it entangled me.” Ramamurthy, meanwhile, almost lost the role of Mohinder Suresh to a“really nice 55-year-old gentleman.”

• Questioned about the multicultural elements of the show, Kring said that the series was supposed to represent a worldwide event, and that it wouldn’t be realistic to have only “blue-eyed, blond-haired people in California” getting powers.

• Kring said that he felt the show’s worldwide fan base served as a metaphor for the show’s message about worldwide evolution, and that he might be on the 9thwonders.com site in a few months to open a dialogue with the fans about turning their passion for the show into creating something positive in the world.

The panel concluded with Loeb revealing that the cast actually stopped filming so they could appear at SDCC. He showed a montage of clips and ideas from Volume 2…and asked that the fans not tell anyone else about what they saw.

Spoilers: The fast-paced montage of clips showed the characters all over world. George Takei appears to be reprising his role as Hiro’s father. It looks like Parkman survived his encounter with Sylar. Suresh is being followed again. Nathan has a thick beard, and is being reprimanded by his mother for “killing” Peter. There’s a dark, evil voice threatening the others. Claire cut off something that made the crowd gasp. And yes, there’s David Anders from Alias as a samurai.

Heroes: Volume 2 premieres on Sept.24.

Heroes: Comic-Con...

The Scoop: Despite executive producer Jeph Loeb's plea to attendees not to spill the beans on the exclusive second season clip, here's what we saw:

* Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar), in a full-grown beard, digging through some box as his mother tells him something along the lines of "You're brother's dead because of you. If you had just done what you we're told, he might be alive by now."
* Hiro is still stuck in the past,. We see him training with the Asian Warriors, though one warrior ends up taking his mask off to reveal a blond boy underneath.
* Molly Walker (Adair Tishler) wakes from disturbing dreams in fear of the "boogie man" who haunts her sleep. we get no glimpse of said villain.
* Peter appears, freaked out when someone opens a door to the room he's apparently locked in.

There are also plans for new female characters, including Maya (Dania Ramirez), who's on the run from the cops in Central America, and a character named Monica (unnamed actress) who "will come from the hurricane-ravaged area of New Orleans," according to Loeb.

Kevin Smith will direct the first episode of the six-episode spinoff of the show titled, "Origins." The crowd goes crazy.

*When Ramamurthy talked about his character, and his "father's research," Grunberg joked about having to take a drink. I love the idea of this drinking game.

"Heroes" returns Sept. 24.

Heroes: Press Conference...

During the press conference on the "Heroes" set, a reporter noted that Leonard Roberts, whose character, D.L. Hawkins, was badly wounded by a gunshot in the season finale, was absent. Creator Tim Kring suggested we shouldn't read too much into that, but at the same time hinted that big changes were in store for D.L.'s wife, Nikki (Ali Larter).

Quinto was only slightly more forthcoming, admitting, "I'm allowed to say you haven't seen the last of (power-stealing villain Sylar). But the landscape in which you find him at the beginning of season two is alarmingly different than the landscape in which you found him at the end of season one."

(A reporter asked whether it would be alarming for Sylar or the viewers; Quinto said, "Both, I'd imagine. But definitely for him.")

In Mohinder's room, there's a cot in the bedroom for — well, no one's saying for sure. But there's also a little girl's room all decked out in butterflies and ponies that we suspect is for "tracking device" Molly.

Larter says she never understood her character Niki/Jessica's super power last year (good and evil fighting in the same body), but this year her power is more defined and her character will be less about family and more about working with the group.

Heroes: Season 2 promotional pictures...

Heroes: New Season 2 spoilers (continued)...

The series will take a four-week break at Christmas, and another break of four or five weeks in the spring.

After the first 24 episodes end in early April, we’ll see six episodes of Heroes: Origins, self-contained backstories.

Zachary Quinto, who is the evil Sylar on Heroes, will be playing Spock in the upcoming Star Trek movie. Heroes creator Tim Kring said he'll work Quinto's shooting schedule to mesh with Trek's.

Ali Larter’s character, Niki, will move away from the split-personality thing.

There’s a new cast member, Dania Ramirez, whose character will be on the run in Central America and will get to habla español. Press notes describe her character as “a young woman plagued by a threatening ability that has driven both her and her twin brother Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) from their home in the Dominican Republic to make the dangerous crossing to the United States in search of help.”

No big plans for guest stars.

Ukraine, Haiti, Egypt, Mexico are among the season’s destinations. And of course Japan. Plus the United States. But still no Canada!

The Bennets (Claire’s family) have a new house, seeing as the last one went radioactive, which is murder on their premiums.

Mohinder eats Froot Loops (at least, there’s a box in his apartment).

Nathan and Peter aren’t dead.

There will continue to be paintings of the future, even though Isaac is dead.

Heroes: New Season 2 spoilers...

Just back from the TCA-sponsored press event on the Heroes set with scoop galore. Let's get right to it.

• Lyndsy Fonseca is out as Claire's gay cheerleader pal. No, not out like that. She's out as in, off the show. According to Heroes creator Tim Kring, Fonseca's role had to be cut short after she landed that series-regular gig on Desperate Housewives. "She wasn't a pivotal character," Kring says of Claire's pal, who will now appear in just one episode. "The idea was that that part would grow, but it never got a chance to."

• The entire cast was present with the exception of Leonard Roberts (D.L.), although Kring cautioned reporters not to necessarily "read anything into that." Well, considering this is the second Heroes press conference Roberts has bailed on this summer, I'm guessing D.L. is a goner.

• New Hero Dania Ramirez revealed that when we first meet her character, Maya, "she's on the run from the cops."

• Zachary Quinto was neither confirming nor denying reports that he's in line to play a young Spock in Damon Lindelof and J.J. Abrams' Star Trek pic. "I'm under strict orders not to say anything," he said. Luckily, my BFF Greg Grunberg was under no such gag order. "How exciting is that?" he enthused. "Now I've got to beg, plead and scrape to get in that movie! I mean, what's wrong with me as Scotty? Down in the engine room, rotisserie chicken.... "

• One movie that Abrams is casting Grunberg in is the buzzerific disaster flick known only by its myriad working titles (i.e., Cloverfield, 1-18-08, Slusho). "It'll probably be something where no one will be able to tell it's me," he said. "As you know, J.J. calls me his good-luck charm, so he's got to put me in there somewhere. I actually went to the set the other night, and it was really exciting and cool. The budget is not astronomical. But they're doing incredible things."

Prison Break: New Cast Member...

Anthony Escobar joins Prison Break for Season 3...

Prison Break: New Character...

Prison Break may have killed off half of its cast members last season, but that just means more room for new interesting characters in upcoming episodes.

According to Prison Break’s star Wentworth Miller, Another World’s Jodi Lyn O’Keefe will join the cast as a mysterious woman named Susan B who interacts with Dominic Purcell’s character. “The two of them apparently have a great amount of chemistry on camera,” Miller says.

Inside the Panama prison where Michael Scofield (Miller) is incarcerated, The Wire’s Robert Wisdom will join the cast as Panamanian drug lord Luchero. British import Chris Vance will play an inmate named Whistler, a guy who might have something to do with the conspiracy that got Michael into this mess.

And for once Michael will not be the man with the plan. “Michael has always been the smartest guy in the room, but now it’s about improvisation and thinking on his feet,” Miller says. “It raises the stakes for him and makes for a more intense story.” — Reporting by Carita Rizzo

Prison Break: Michael and Lincoln's fate?

Spoke to Prison Break brothers Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell. One PB spy tells me that there's going to be a crisis between the two siblings next season that extends beyond Michael's imprisonment. What could cause such a rift? Maybe Lincoln and Sara will fall for each other while Michael's behind bars? "I don't know what's going on with Sara," Purcell shrugged.

Heroes: Hayden and Jack on Season 2...

About shooting Season 2 so far, and the Bennets’ storyline:

Panettiere: “Wonderful. It’s been really, really, really fun. It’s been great.”

Coleman: “The Bennet family has relocated; I can’t tell you exactly where. It’s a new world. The secrets they keep from each other are new secrets. The old secrets have all been divulged. We’re not repeating old ground, but there’s old ghosts and old habits that are about to rear their ugly head in a very dramatic way.” [The entire family was together again at the start of the season] “in a very difficult, awkward circumstance, that they all have to try to deal with and it gets pretty sticky pretty quickly.”

As for the bigger picture of the Heroes world:

Panettiere: “We find everyone four months from where we left of. We’re not sure who’s alive and who’s dead, and yadda yadda. There’s a lot of things that have happened in those four months, so we’re going to find out about that. But Claire’s trying to be a normal girl again. She’s fighting to find that inner teenager in her.” [Claire will discover that] “the irony of it is no matter where you go, everything is kind of always the same. Everyone kind of looks the same.”

Cheerleader outfit during Season 2:

Panettiere: “Possibly. Possibly! I wouldn’t say goodbye to the cheerleading outfits just yet. She is ‘The Cheerleader.” […] “except maybe this season, she might actually do some cheering! I’ve told the producers ‘We need to talk about this cheering thing!’”

About the success Heroes achieved in the past year:

Coleman: “Taking the whole entirety of the last twelve months, it is pretty staggering. It’s funny because it happens in increments so you don’t see the snowball building the way it has been. But nobody knew the show was going to be what it is. I think everybody suspected it had a chance to be successful, but not on its way to being an international brand. We’re doing great - all around the world it’s doing really well. We’re about to go all over the world to promote it. It’s ridiculously exciting.”

Big special effects and prosthetic makeup scenes in Season 2:

Panettiere: “Oh, I’m sure! She is the indestructible cheerleader, so you assume she’ll be at the front of most of that action stuff.”

Coleman: “I love that my character doesn’t have any superpowers, for two reasons - less prosthetics and less time in a harness! At my age, there’s only so much time in a harness you want to spend. But the other thing is I really like having a character that has to survive by his wits. I mean every time you see Sylar and HRG face each other, Sylar flicks him around like he’s a bug! And he’s not a guy who’s going to be able to handle the dangers of the world that he’s in, physically. He has to do it through his guile… and carrying a really big gun.”

Change in fan reaction towards his character after “Company Man.”:

Coleman: “I think there was a big change after that,” he observed. “I felt different toward the character after that. I kind of knew what it was building to, but until I read the script, I didn’t really know how it was explained. And what a gift to be able to have the arc that my character had! I’m just so grateful to [executive producer] Tim [Kring] and to all the writers and to Bryan Fuller, who wrote that script - to have a chance to go from where I started to that place up on the bridge, with the tearful goodbye with Claire… I just think from episode 1 to episode 17 that was an amazing arc with huge character development.” [at the end of the season Bennet was pointing a gun at Molly]”I loved that! I was so thrilled. Because you don’t want to be defanged. And it makes it very clear in the beginning, in the very first episode [of Season 2], he’s not defanged. He’s still a dangerous guy. I think it’s clear he would move heaven and earth for Claire, but you don’t want to cross him. He is a dangerous guy. And the fact that he would pull a gun on Molly, is because he’s looking at the bigger picture. He’s a big picture guy. He’s a guy with a plan, and certain things may have to be jettisoned in order to make that plan work. He’s a guy you want in the trenches, but you also see how quickly he goes from having the gun pointed at Molly to using Molly to find out where Sylar is or where Peter is, so it turns very quickly.”

About some fan disappointment in the season finale of Heroes:

Coleman: “I don’t know that Tim [Kring] is getting the credit he deserves for tying it all up. Sometimes a finale of a series has nothing to do with its original, and I think he did a masterful job of tying all that stuff together. And you know, you’re not gonna get a Spider-Man, 200 million dollar battle at the end. It just can’t happen. I know some people were a little disappointed that the battle royale didn’t pan out to be as big [as they wanted], but it’s a television show; it’s a weekly television show. Spider-Man spends our money in an hour!”

Tim Kring’s master plan for Season 2:

Coleman: “Yes, he of course has a plan. But all plans are fluid, as in life. If they weren’t fluid, HRG certainly wouldn’t be a series regular at this point. So yeah, they have what they call tent poles which they’ve very much aiming towards. But if you get too obsessed with where we’re going to be at a certain point, you tend to eat up story really quickly. And I have to say, judging from these first three scripts, I think they’ve really gotten a great handle on how to pick it up in a place that people can join it if they’re just seeing it for the first time, but you’re not bored if you’ve been with it from the very beginning. I think it does a really good job of including newcomers while rewarding the longtime viewers.”

Heroes: NBC's Bash...

In between press interviews, Heroes cheerleader Hayden Panettiere was encouraged to eat — "force fed," she said, by her two TV "dads," Adrian Pasdar and Jack Coleman. "They've been like eat, eat!"

Though it may have seemed that Pasdar's character died in last season's finale, he will be back sporting a bushy beard that in real life has proved a hit with Pasdar's sons, Jackson, 6, and Beckett, 3. "Both of them want to know if they can have their own beards for Christmas," Pasdar said. Less thrilled with her husband's bushy look is real-life wife Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks. "She kinda wants it to go away," he said. "She misses my smooth face."

Co-star Masi Oka previewed that his character, Hiro, eventually will come face to face with his character's long referenced but never seen Japanese childhood hero, Takezo Kensei. The mysterious part will be played by actor David Anders, who, Oka pointed out, "is a white guy." But that's OK by Oka because the character "is someone pretending to be Asian, so it makes sense in the story's context."

Oka was less thrilled with the stereotypical Japanese character comedian Rob Schneider plays in the new Adam Sandler comedy feature, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, opening Friday. "I didn't agree with that," said Oka. "It was very funny, but it wasn't smart funny. I don't understand why an Asian guy couldn't have played it. You didn't need to have the (slant) eyes and the buck tooth trying to be a 'yellow face,' as we call it."

Heroes' Ali Larter is dating an actor with whom she stars in an upcoming movie. But she chose to keep his identity hush-hush. "I am mum about the whole thing," said Larter. "He's mine and only mine, and I don't share, but he's gorgeous!"

On the small screen, Larter's Heroes character will no longer be switching personalities by looking at her reflection. "No more mirrors," she happily announced.

Heroes villain Zachary Quinto showed his soft side, talking about reuniting last weekend with his So NoTORIous co-star Tori Spelling, who introduced him to her 4-month-old, Liam. Quinto raved over the cuteness factor of Spelling's tot.

Heroes: Jack Coleman interview...

Jack Coleman, who plays Noah Bennet-also known as HRG (Horn-Rimmed Glasses)- in NBC's Emmy-nominated series Heroes, told SCI FI Wire that his character will still have a dark edge to him at the beginning of the second season. "It makes it very clear, in the very first episode of this year, he's not defanged," Coleman said. Coleman revealed that in the second-season premiere, which picks up several months after the events of the season finale, his character has been reunited with his adopted daughter, Claire (Hayden Panettiere), and his wife (Ashley Crow) and son (Randall Bentley). "The Bennet family has relocated," he said. "I can't tell you exactly where. And it's a new world. The secrets they keep from each other are new secrets. The old secrets have all been divulged. We're not retreading the old ground. But there's old ghosts. Old habits are about to rear their ugly head in a very dramatic way. The Bennets are together to start, but in a very difficult, awkward circumstance that they all have to try to deal with. And it gets pretty sticky pretty quickly." Coleman also said that his character will continue to be one of the few on the show without any super powers.

Dana Davis has joined NBC's hit sci-fi drama Heroes as a regular, playing a new hot young hero. While her powers are being kept under wraps, it is understood that Davis' character, Monica, would give up everything to help the people around her.

It is also said that she may be seen in the second episode of Season 2...

Heroes: Ali larter interview...

Ali Larter, who plays the dual-personality Jessica/Niki on NBC's hit Heroes, told SCI FI Wire to expect her character to channel another popular kickass female hero in the coming second season. "I've heard a little bit," Larter said about the upcoming arc for her character. "A little La Femme Nikita... I'm happy about most things they give me on the show."

Heroes: Snippets in TVGuide...

Snippets found in the July 23 edition of TV Guide: When Hiro meets Kensei, he discover that "the storybooks have exaggerated" and "Kensei isn't the kind of man Hiro idolized." According to Masi, "This will put Japan's future at stake, so Hiro has to make Kensei into the one of legend." The producers told Masi that while Hiro is in the past, "something terrible will be happening in the present, maybe because Hiro wasn't there. When he returns to modern day, he's in for the shock of his life." The Japanese princess that Eriko Tamura is playing is supposed to fall in love with Kensei, but falls for Hiro instead, which will be "a disaster." Alejandro is Maya's twin, and the two are on the run. They will make their way "through Central America and Mexico to try to enter the U.S. illeagally," an will "find border trouble along the way." According to Dania Ramirez, "Maya is a very good person, but her abilities have made her extremely dangerous. This has caused a lot of havoc in her life."

Heroes: Masi Oka...

Masi Oka, who plays time-traveling hero Hiro Nakamura on NBC's Heroes , told SCI FI Wire that his character will remain in Japan for a while and will have a parallel story separate from the rest of the show when the second season kicks off in the fall. "Season two is going to begin with two parallel timelines going on," Oka said in an interview at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills, Calif., on July 17. "One starting four months after the explosion and another-mainly Hiro's storyline-starting 400 years in the past. And we'll see how they kind of affect each other." At the end of the hit show's first season, Oka's character found himself transported back in time to 16th-century Japan. According to Oka, Hiro will spend at least eight episodes there before returning to the present. There, he will encounter some of the characters from the stories of his childhood, including the legendary samurai Takezo Kensei, who will be played by David Anders (Sark from ABC's Alias ). The show is currently finishing the third episode of the upcoming season. "There's a princess," Oka said. "Princess Iako, played by [Japanese pop star] Eriko Tamura, who's going to be in that world, as well as David Anders, who plays Takezo Kensei. That was Hiro's childhood hero that he's always heard about these stories. But David Anders, last time we checked, he was Caucasian. So there's a mystery there."

CSI NY: Camine Giovinazzo talks about his character on CSI:NY...

The third season finale of CSI: NY aired in May, and already the stars of the hit drama series are preparing to begin work on the fourth installment. However, Carmine Giovinazzo, who plays CSI Detective Danny Messer, took some time off his vacation in order to discuss the development of his character through the series.

One of the major storylines that was presented in the previous season is Danny’s romantic relationship with co-worker Lindsay Monroe (Anna Belknap). Although there was tension between them initially, the two characters gradually became friends. By the beginning of the third season, it was clear that their relationship had reached a new level.

“I think it’s good,” Carmine Giovinazzo said of his character’s involvement with Lindsay. “I'm glad it got where it got and that we had a real, definite thing that happened between us. It was a little more there but not quite there [before], so it was good [that something happened]. It's fun to do.”

The 33-year-old actor also told CSI Files that despite some of the fans' reluctance to accept the new relationship, he thinks that the storyline is a way for the show’s writers to further flesh out Belknap’s character.

“I think the thing with Lindsay is good because it's going to help define her,” he said. “I know how people feel about that, but it's tough because they have to spread out the cards for everybody… But I don't mind being the utility guy--you can use me for what you need to use me for. The main characters are just all helping each other right now, and whatever way the [writers] have to do it, they do it.”

Since the writers are planning to pick up from where the previous season left off, Carmine Giovinazzo is expecting that the major changes in his character will be further developed in the upcoming season.

“[CSI: NY Executive Producer] Peter Lenkov and I talked about carrying on Danny being hurt in the last episode. Obviously, we're going to have to deal with me and Lindsay now; it's something they can't not deal with now, so I've already got those two things going in so that will have to be explored.”

Aside from working on CSI: NY, Giovinazzo has also taken the time to focus on his music. While on a break, he traveled to Los Angeles and formed a band. Together, they have written no less than eight songs.

“I've got a really good drummer and a really, really good lead guitar player,” he said of his bandmates. “I'm playing guitar and vocals. It's going to be good.”

Heroes: Heroes or Lost at Comic-Con?...

Both Heroes and Lost will be making high stakes appearances at the fast approaching San Diego Comic-Con. Heroes will be introducing clips from its forthcoming season as well as unveiling its high definition HD-DVD season one box set. Lost will be breaking months of radio silence to shed light on the shocking revelations of its season three finale, giving the first public look at the top secret Lost video game in development at Ubi Soft, will discuss the fourth season, and share some bits of info on the upcoming season three DVD box set and Verizon Mobisode campaign. Which show will walk away with the most post convention buzz?

Heroes has the advantage of being just a few months away from its second premiere. The Heroes audience is still very much caught up in the afterglow of the season one finale and don't even need a lot of stroking to stay hyped for the fall premiere of season two. On the other hand, some of the larger deals made around the show, such as the marketing deal with Nissan, have left an icky commercialized film on the show.

Fans on the official boards have made a joke over how every Nissan vehicle that appears in Heroes never has so much as a spec of dust on it, regardless of its context. Trumpeting the product placement deal to the public may have been a little below the interest level of the fan base. Such information is usually more celebrated in boardrooms than in fan communities.

The world tour, backed by a Nissan logo of course, also turned out to be a little anticlimactic for American fans when it was learned that the cast members involved in the tour were focusing on season one material in fresh markets rather than helping to build buzz for season two.

Luckily for Heroes, the show has a tremendous fan base that is relatively un-phased by such indiscretions. Nonetheless, you have to wonder what NBC's marketing folks are up to pumping American fans full of information that has such little to do with their perspective of the show.

Lost, on the other hand, faces an even larger challenge. Lost fans must wait seven more months for their show to return, and then for an abbreviated sixteen episodes. The producers went into ‘radio silence' after the season three finale to allow a stunned fan base to digest the revelation that getting off the island was not the final end game of the show. Their plan worked.

The unexpected vector of speculation has put many of Lost's fan board gurus back to the drawing board. The appearance at San Diego will, if it follows the tradition of previous appearances, provide even more fuel for speculation. There has to be enough fuel, however, to get fans through the seven months that separate them from season four.

Lost, indeed, has the most at stake when it comes to walking off with the Comic Con buzz. But Heroes may yet have some trick's up their sleeves.

Prison Break: Season 3 to be exciting...

From the news and spoilers and script pages that are coming in by the days, it can be easily said that Season 3 of Prison Break (premiering 17th September 2007) could be the most exciting of the whole series.
In season 1, when Michael had to escape from the Fox River Penitentiary he had enough bad guys onto him such as T-Bag, Abruzzi, and Bellick. In Fox River, the security was maximum and there were guards all around, but in Sona prisoners rule, everyday is to be like the Ep6 of Season 1 where Riots break out. There are no guards in Sona, it is filthy, there are all sorts of people there, 1000 Rapists, Thiefs and Murderers there. Season 1 was exciting enough for everyone as Michael had a plan and the prison seemed rough for Michael and he had his brother Lincoln looking out for him by his reputation, but in Sona, upon entering he has enemies there such as Mahone (FBI Agent), Bellick, and T-bag who possibly arrives there later.

From the ending minute of Season 2 and the scripts of Season 3 we can say that it will be more bloodier, violent and exciting than season 1 and season 2. I can't wait for Season 3 to begin airing, filming has already begun and there is a chance that they might start showing more of Season 3 real promos and clips and interviews. When Season 3 starts airing (17th Sept) they should have filmed about 8-10 episodes and hopefully there won't be a winter break like usual.

17th September 2007...

While Michael learns that everyone is looking for him and that the man may even have escaped, Mahone hides and watches. Later, Mahone learns from McGrady that whoever finds Whistler and kills him is as good as a free man.
* Lincoln goes to a bar in a high rise restaurant. He is set to meet someone there. He sits at the bar and orders water. Betty Crockers sits besides him and starts talking to him. He doesn’t know her, but she does know him and Michael. As they talk, he clearly tells her it is the wrong time and he is waiting for someone. But she presses on and eventually says that it is the right time “ Lincoln” and “We have a lot to discuss. Specifically your brother.” She then gives him an iPod. It is not clear what/who Betty is exactly but she seems to be an agent of some sort. Question is for which side is she working for?
* Executive producer Paul Scheuring says: Sona Penitentiary is the antithesis of Fox River. Five minutes into the new season, Micheal will virtually be pining for the sanity and safety of Fox River. And, of course, there’s a little matter of the secret concealed in the crawl space beneath the A wing…

Grey's Anatomy: Chyler Leigh to be a regular...

Very bad news for Mer-Der fans! Chyler Leigh, AKA Grey’s Anatomy Bar Slut, will likely be a regular series cast member next year instead of the 13 episode arc it was supposed to be. What does this mean? Well considering Meredith’s current non-relationship with her father, and the fact her half-sister would be an intern, not to mention the not-so-innocent flirting we saw, it equals bad, bad news. And you must admit, it is pretty ballsy for her half-sister to apply for internship at Seattle Grace, considering all the back history.

But from Derek’s perspective, it would be pretty dirty to sleep with your girlfriends (or ex-girlfriends) sister, no matter how you slice or dice it. Of course, he did sleep with Meredith when they barely knew each other’s names.

Prison Break: Filming details...

Filming today in Las Colinas

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to The_Man for giving me info on where they are filming today. I went down to the Movie Studios in Las Colinas in Irving, Texas. When I got there (6:00 pm) I saw some extras dressed as prisoners coming out of the soundstage. They were done for the day with their part of the filming .

I asked one of the extras if they were filming Prison Break inside and he said yes this is where they are filming the indoor prison scenes for the Panama jail. He told me the outdoor prison scenes are shot at a former juvenile detention center off Harry Hines blvd and at another jail in Ft. Worth. The actors that were there to film scenes today were Wentworth , Wade and William Fichtner.

I didn't have a lot of time to ask him more questions but he also told me they are filming at these studios for the next four days. So for all you Dallas girls who might want to try your luck in meeting the actors just go to the Studios in Las Colinas and go toward the back where they have a bunch of white trailers set up. A good time to go is before filming starts at about 7:00 am or when they finish. I left there at 7:00 and they were still in there filming.

Dr.Who: The Return of the Runaway Bride in fourth Season...

It was previously reported that dance-pop singer and actress Kylie Minogue would be appearing in the fourth season of Doctor Who. Minogue has been given a lead role in the show’s upcoming Christmas special.

Last Wednesday, the BBC announced that another celebrity is set to appear in the forthcoming episodes of the revived comedy series. Comedienne Catherine Tate, who played the runaway bride in last season’s Christmas special, will reprise her role on the show on a regular basis. Tate’s re-casting means that the tenth Doctor (David Tennant) will have two companions in the fourth season, one being Tate's Donna and the other being Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman).

"I am delighted to be returning to Doctor Who,” Catherine Tate said. “I had a blast last Christmas and look forward to traveling again through time and space with that nice man from Gallifrey.”

The 39-year-old comedienne and actress is most known for her sketch comedy series, The Catherine Tate Show. In it, she portrays a wide array of characters, including apathetic adolescent Lauren Cooper and cockney grandmother Joannie “Nan” Taylor. Her work on the show has earned her several recognitions, such as a 2004 British Comedy Award for Best Comedy Newcomer and a 2006 British Comedy Award for Best Comedy Actress.

In last year’s Christmas special of Doctor Who, "The Runaway Bride," Catherine Tate's character, Donna, mysteriously vanished as she prepared to marry her boyfriend in a ceremony on Christmas Eve. Donna later reappeared in the TARDIS, the Doctor’s time machine and spacecraft. On the way to the church, it was revealed that Donna was the key to a primeval alien plan to annihilate the planet.

"Catherine was an absolute star in 'The Runaway Bride,'” executive producer Russell T. Davies said. "We are delighted that one of Britain's greatest talents has agreed to join us for the fourth series.”

The third season’s Christmas special was shown in the US last Friday, courtesy of the SCI-FI channel. The cable network first started airing the revived comedy series in 2006.

Heroes: NBC behind the ZEROES pardoy...

Like most marketing mavens, Vince Manze has never been afraid of taking credit for good work. But recently, NBC's promo guru has had to keep his mouth shut about one project about which he's particularly proud.

Dubbed "Zeroes," it's a roughly two-minute send-up of the Peacock's hugely popular Monday night drama "Heroes." The spoof has been widely passed around via the Internet, racking up more than 1.5 million views over several platforms, including YouTube and Break.com.

But unlike most other network-created viral videos, "Zeroes" contained not a trace of evidence that it came from NBC.

No Peacock logo. No "Tune in Mondays at 9" message at the end. No credits whatsoever.

"It was an experiment," Manze says. "We wanted to see how far we could go, and we wondered if (auds) knowing we did it would be a detriment."

Project, made for about $17,000, was so clandestine that Manze says he didn't even tell "Heroes" creator Tim Kring about "Zeroes." Keeping the clip's origins a secret was a means of building up its credibility with potential viewers.

The "Zeroes" clip is just one of dozens, if not hundreds, of NBC-created viral videos the network has unleashed over the past year.

Even as Peacock lawyers threaten YouTube with lawsuits, the net's marketing department has been actively looking for ways to get the attention of younger viewers -- the auds who, more and more, are abandoning primetime in favor of sites like YouTube.

Unlike the "Zeroes" clip, most of NBC's viral ventures are identified as promotional materials, albeit much more subtlety than the standard on-air promos that scream at viewers to tune in at a certain time.

"People don't want to feel as if they're being intruded upon," Manze says. "When they find out it's from us, it's like, 'They fooled us.'"

And so NBC has focused its energies on creating viral promos that feel more like mini-programs rather than advertisements. Indeed, NBC's online promos often look to ape the sort of user-generated clips consumers create to pay homage to their favorite shows.

Manze has even started stunting to make the promos feel like events. During February, NBC launched a "Laugh of the Day" campaign on YouTube, premiering a new one-to-three minute comedic spot focused on a Peacock program.

Some of the promos were elaborate musicvideos, such as an "Office"-themed clip that turned Dwight Schrute into something of a superhero or "That's What She Said," which combined an NBC-penned song with a series of double entendres from NBC shows.

Net also gave its casts and producers a chance to create content for the "Laugh of the Day" campaign, enlisting stars of "30 Rock" and "My Name Is Earl."

Overall cost to generate the two-dozen plus clips was about $150,000, Manze estimates -- a pittance by network standards. Spots have now found a permanent home on nbc-owned dotcomedy.com.

Many of the online promos push the envelope of network-level standards, using slightly saltier language or tackling more adult themes.

"We can do things a little more cutting edge, and that's in our brand," Manze says. "We could never air 'That's What She Said' on the air."

All the broadcast nets have embraced the Internet and YouTube to market their wares, from ABC's elaborate faux Web sites linked to "Lost" to CBS and 20th Century Fox TV's buzz-generating "Robin Sparkles" musicvideo tied to "How I Met Your Mother."

Manze, however, believes NBC is in front when it comes to generating viral promos.

"We feel like we're ahead of the game in terms of what works and how to do it," he says. "It's fine to put up clips from Letterman on CBS.com. I'm trying to get people to watch '30 Rock' without cramming it down their throats."

Prison Break: Wentworth was to be a police officer...

Apparently, Went's parents wanted him to be a police officer. At the very least, they can be happy that he's in a show with....well, fake.....police officers.

"Prison Break star WENTWORTH MILLER disappointed his parents by becoming an actor - because they wanted him to be a cop. The actor says his parents would try to encourage him to become a policeman, but he always knew his heart lay with acting. He says, "They were horrified. They'd invested all this time and money in my future, hoping to launch me into some sort of stable career. "All my father knew was I didn't have a place to go every morning, I was sleeping in, and I didn't have a steady pay cheque. "I would get emails from him reminding me that the LA Police Department had a volunteer programme, as a way of giving me something to do. But now, of course, they're pleased."

Dr.Who: Kylie Minogue begins filming for Special...

Kylie Minogue has begun filming in Cardiff for her part in the Doctor Who Christmas special.

An on-set shot released by producers shows the singer crouched next to the Doctor, played by David Tennant, looking frightened.

She is in period dress for the role as Astrid, a waitress on the Titanic, in the episode entitled 'Voyage of the Damned'. It follows on from the last series which ended with the boat colliding with the Tardis.

Meanwhile, BBC chiefs have denied the show is focused on celebrity after it was confirmed Catherine Tate would become a second assistant to the Doctor in the next series.

Peter Fincham, BBC One controller, said: "That's absolutely editorial creative thinking. Doctor Who needs surprise. I think it's exciting. Doctor Who sets a high bar and you've got to keep jumping over it."

Dr. Who Christmas Special...

Clive Swift will be appearing in the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special - 'The Voyage of the Damned'.

Best known for his role as Hyacinth Bucket's husband Richard in the long-running BBC One sitcom Keeping Up Appearances, 71-year-old Swift told The Jewish Telegraph about his upcoming role in the sci-fi drama: "It's a lovely part and I'll be working with Kylie Minogue, who I was introduced to at the read-through, and David Tennant, who is a terrific actor."

Swift is already known to Whovians through a pivotal role in the 1985 story 'The Revelation of the Daleks', where his character Jobel met a violent end. No further details about his latest part have been released.

T-Bag lands in SONA with Bellick, Mahone and Michael. First it was unsure whether T-Bag stays out or goes in SONA as we don't see him get into the prison. But it is true that he lands in prison with this 3 "mates" and definitely doesn't get the same treatment and respect as he did in Fox River, no one's holding his pockets, it's the other way around. But i doubt that T-Bag will take it for a long time, he will soon start getting respect in SONA.

Lechero paces -- throwing anxious looks toward the veranda.
Three of his men are there. Sammy, as befitting his standing with Lechero, lounges nearby.
Papo and Cheo hand back. T-bag is dutifully slicing a mango.

SAMMY
(to Lechero re: T-Bag)
Have we hard our laughs with this
guy yet? Can we get rid of him
now?

Lechero walks forward and looms over Sammy.

LECHERO
Sure, we can get rid of him. If
you cut my mango.

Lechero leans in close as he points out toward the yard.

LECHERO (cont'd)
You caused me a big problem today.

SAMMY
They'll live.

After a beat, Lechero turns to T-bag and motions toward one
of three one-gallon jugs of water on the floor.

LECHERO
Take one of those down. Give a
little to each man.

T-BAG
At once.

Just as T-Bag is about to move toward the jug, Sammy bolts up
from his chair.

Heroes: Latest on Heroes...

Sean Patrick in Marion, Indiana: Please tell me if Heroes features the character Zach in the new season. I really liked him because he kind of took care of Claire, and he was my favorite character without superpowers besides Ando. Also, is there any chance on anything on Lost? I swear, I'll take anything, even if it's a lie.

From what I hear, Zach won’t be back on Heroes. Claire's moving to L.A. and getting a new guy, and Thomas Dekker (Zach) is going to be playing John Connor in the new show The Sarah Connor Chronicles, so he'll be otherwise occupied. As for season four on Lost, Jin does more tae kwon do, Locke kills an ark full of animals, Michael returns to the island on a magical jellyfish and baby Aaron gets telepathic tips from Jacob on how to spring his ma from Island Crapsylvania. I'm lying, but who knows, my crazy fiancée told Damon Lindelof he should bring a Brazilian to the show and he did it, so maybe if you say things they come true on this show! I’ve also heard Sawyer and I have a torrid affair.

Prison Break: Sarah Wayne Callies Interview...

Sarah Wayne Callies was born in Hawaii in 1977. She made her TV debut in the short-lived US series Queens Supreme, and followed it with appearances in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Dragnet and Tarzan before landing the role of Dr Sara Tancredi in the hugely successful Prison Break.

The series can currently be seen on five and Prison Break Season 2 Part One

Sarah lives with her husband Josh and is expecting their first child.

WHAT'S YOUR DREAM SATURDAY NIGHT?

"I'd fly to New York and cook dinner for my friends. We'd have an unlimited
supply of chocolate and wine, and be indulged with foreign cheese. I'm
pregnant, but even when I'm not, most of my ideas of a good time involve
food".

WHAT DO YOU DO TO GET READY FOR IT?

"I'd shop for what I'm making for dinner and
make a list of what we're going to be eating:.

IF YOU COULD MAKE ONE LAW FOR SATURDAY NIGHTS, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

"That restaurants aren't allowed to run out of reservations, because it's annoying
when they can't fit you in. I've never tried to get one by ringing up and
saying 'Hi, this is Sara from Prison Break and I'd like a table on Saturday
night.' I don't think I'd be able to keep a straight face."

WHAT'S THE BEST SATURDAY NIGHT OUT YOU'VE EVER HAD?

"Last year, my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary by going to a
restaurant in Brooklyn called The Grocery. There are only 10 tables and it's
got a very small menu, but the food is spectacular and so is the wine."

AND THE WORST?

"I can't think of a specific occasion, but it
would probably be to do with invasions of privacy. My Prison Break co-star
Wentworth Miller and I used to go to a restaurant in Chicago a lot, but it
got to the point where we couldn't just sit and talk as friends because
people would constantly be coming up to us - although he gets bothered more
than me".

WHO WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO SPEND YOUR WEEKEND WITH?

"My husband".

DO YOU LIVE FOR THE WEEKEND AND FREE TIME?

"I certainly enjoy it, and it's great to see my friends, but I love my work
and I look forward to that as much as I do my time off. So many people hate
their jobs and I'm really grateful to be doing something I enjoy."

WHAT SORT OF A SUNDAY PERSON ARE YOU?

"I lie in bed and read the papers until noon, then cook a big dinner and maybe go for a walk.
Sunday always feels like a day to be quiet and take a deep breath before the
week begins again.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE HANGOVERS?

"As I'm seven months pregnant, I haven't had a hangover in a long time, but
I'd handle them with bacon, fried eggs and a mimosa. I recommend a hair of
the dog and as much grease as you can get in your stomach."

WHICH CITY IS THE BEST FOR NIGHTLIFE AND WHY?

"I go to bed pretty early, so I don't require nightlife which extends past two in the
morning, but I'm an enormous fan of New York. I love that there's so much so
close and with wonderful public transportation. You don't have to think
'I've had five Martinis and now I have to get home'. You just hop on a
subway and hopefully you'll remember your stop, without having to go
careening through the streets".

WHAT DID YOU GET UP TO LAST WEEKEND AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING THIS WEEKEND?

"Last weekend, I was in Madrid, which involved some fabulous meals." This weekend
will involve a lot of lying around on my couch and hanging out with my dog.
I'm relishing every morning I can sleep in until 10, because once the baby
arrives that's all going to change!"

Prison Break: Wentworth "Gay" Rumour

The time has come for another

'Wentworth is gay!' rumour.

This time he's dating Luke McFarlane, and apparently they're about to move in together. For all we know it may be true, Wentworth may be breaking countless hearts by being gay, as lots of female fans say that Wentworth being gay will burst all their bubbles, but you know what? You can keep fantasising about Wentworth coming to sweep you off your feet even if he did happen to be gay so it doesn't matter one bit about his sexuality. Perez has been targeting Wentworth since Prison Break started with one rumour after the other. If the man is gay, he's gay. No need to 'out' him and Wentworth's sexuality is not worth all the coverage its getting,
Wentworth has stated in an interview that he is not gay, but of course that just means that he is in denial. Of course. Wentworth won't win even if he gets married to a woman and has 20 kids. Sorry Went, you lose...

Dr.Who: Kylie Minogue in Christmas Special...

Kylie Minogue has signed up to appear in this year's Doctor Who Christmas special alongside David Tennant.

It has been confirmed that the storyline for the show, Voyage of the Damned, will follow on from the end of series three where the Titanic crashed into the Tardis.

Grey's Anatomy: Grey's Spinoff Recast Shocker

Apparently, Addison goes through girlfriends as fast as she does boyfriends: When Private Practice debuts this fall, Kate Walsh's character will have a new BFF – Audra McDonald. A spokesperson for ABC Studios confirms that the four-time Tony winner has been tapped to replace Merrin Dungey in the role of Dr. Naomi Bennet, Doc Montgomery's confidante. The decision was made for creative reasons.

Earlier this month, there were rumblings that execs had concerns that the Private lineup wasn't perfect, especially after some of the actors didn't "pop" with audiences. "Grey's Anatomy was cast off whoever seemed to fit the parts best and have good chemistry," says a well-placed source. "The spin-off was cast with actors the network and studio already had under contract."

Nevertheless, there are not expected to be any further cast changes coming before the show goes into production next month.

Personally, as much as I love Dungey –particulary her kick-ass stint on Alias – I think PP creator Shonda Rhimes and ABC made the right call by discharging her. Of all the problems I had with last month's "enhanced two-hour Grey's" episode, my biggest was the Dungey/Walsh dynamic. These two were about as believable as bosom buddies as Rosie O'Donnell and Anne Coulter. Again, love Dungey, just not in this part.

What do you guys think? Should Dungey have been given more time to Practice opposite Walsh? Or were the suits right to pull a Steven Carrington and give Naomi an extreme makeover?

Dr.Who: Season Finale info and Stills

Okay, so no preview tapes have been doing the rounds due to the BBC's desire to keep the climactic events of the third season finale under wraps. Fair play too, because we don't really want to be spoiled do we? So here's a quick guide to what might be coming up, based on the various snippets that have been released to the media...

'The Last of the Time Lords' has very much been pitches as Martha Jones' episode. At the end of 'The Sound of Drums' she managed to teleport to relative safety, away from the clutched of The Master. We know that Freema Agyeman has shot scenes by the sea, at night, emerging onto the beach. It looks like she will hook up with a character called Thomas Milligan, played by former EastEnders star Tom Ellis.

Curiously, the 'next time' trailer depicted Martha examining the inner contents of a Toclafane. What could be lurking inside? Bear in mind that the last two season finales have both featured the 'shock' return of the Daleks, so perhaps an old foe might be somehow hidden inside those murderous, metallic orbs.

According to tabloid reports, three endings have been filmed for the finale. These apparently involve Martha being abducted by aliens, The Doctor regenerating and the Tardis blowing up with our time travelling crew inside. These may well be red herrings and something more jaw-dropping may be on the cards. Having said that, who wouldn't be utterly stunned if David Tennant turned into Robert Carlyle, as previously rumoured? That's not a purely rhetorical question, as it's easy to imagine a nation of Tennant lovers emitting one final squee and burying their heads in their hankies.

Remember the sudden appearance of Catherine Tate in the season finale last year, setting up the events for 'The Runaway Bride'? Could a Kylie Minogue appearance be on the cards, given that she's all set to appear in the festive edition of Doctor Who this year? Also, don't forget that Hugh Grant's name was banded around for the Christmas episode not so long ago, so who knows what surprise we may have in store? The only way to find out is to tune in this Saturday at 7.05pm...

House: Season 4 scoop...

Question: There's been a lack of House spoilers lately. Think you can give me a tiny glimpse into Season 4?— Sara

Ausiello: New details are emerging about the four new underlings joining House's crew who I first told you about last week. Of the two women, one is described as being in her thirties and "mysterious," while the other is in her twenties and a "real go-getter." The dudes, meanwhile, consist of a plastic surgeon in his thirties and a possibly single dad in his early forties. Also, two of the characters will be on for multi-episode arcs, and the other two will stick around as series regulars.

Heroes: Casting Rumours

After all of the casting news from last week hit the wires....rumors started flying left and right about who...what....why...huh....omg....

First of all the big casting news was that David Anders (Sark from Alias) was cast to play Takezo Kensei and not Kane. The character of Kane stills seems to be a mystery and no confirmation on who will play Kane....

Kane is supposedly the new badass villian....and according to my source....he is an "ageless" character.....so perhaps his power is of longevity....???

I know that is not much, but my source promises me more info soon....

Now of course the other BIG rumor was that supposedly former Miss World and Bollywood MEGA-Star Ashwariya Rai Bachchan was joining the cast for 8 episodes!!

However, shortly after the report was posted it was taken down and then reported that she will NOT be joining the show.....???

Wellll that is true AND false.....Ash will afterall be a part of the show and according to my source she currently only scheduled to "shoot 2 scenes next month".....and is cast to play Mohinder Suresh's sister Shanti with super powers of her own. However, I have no confirmation if the role is just a cameo or a roll in a multi-episode story arc.

I know this does not confirm how long she will be on the show but as of right now this confirms that she will at least be a part of the show....!!!

My guess is it will be a cameo, becuase she is busy scheduling a 1-year long world tour with her new husband (Abhishek Bachchan) and father-in-law who are also Bollywood Megastars.

Well either way I am just happy to see her a part of the show....she is absolutely beautiful.....and sorry babey you have Brad Pitt and George Clooney in your Top 5.....but Ash is in my Top 5.....

Thanks for reading and look for some LOST news later today....namaste...
